I told you I’d be back to fill you in but I didn’t realize this would be the update…
Everyone has their list of where they were when certain pop-culture things happened: Michael Jackson’s death, Kobe Bryant’s death, Zayn Malik leaving One Direction, Scandoval, Taylor Swift’s engagement, Amanda and Kyle divorce, etc etc but now we have a new one to add to the mix. Where were you when Amanda and West put out a joint statement that they’re dating? (Honestly, I don’t even know if that’s what it said). Rumors swirled about them putting out a statement together and I believed none of it. But when the clock struck 1 pm EST on Tuesday, March 31st, our world was shook.
Let’s back up for those of you who don’t watch Summer House (which btw is a reality tv show about “friends” having a sharehouse in the Hamptons during the summer). Here’s the TLDR:
Amanda and Kyle have been on the show since season 1 and were married
Ciara joined Summer House in season 5 (and quickly became BFFs with Amanda)
West joined Summer House in season 8 and quickly started dating Ciara
Ciara and West broke up after season 8 filming, before the reunion, and right before the season was about to premiere
West went on a press tour telling everyone and their mothers that the relationship “ran its course” blah blah blah
Amanda and Kyle announced their separation (not even divorce btw) January 2026 - few days before season 10 premiered
Rumors started to swirl about Amanda and West “dating” but it was all kooky bananas because how could Amanda do that to her friend?
Amanda and West put out a joint statement on Instagram announcing that they are in fact an item
So it’s a classic case of a girl dating her best friend’s ex-boyfriend - we’ve all seen that film before - and you know what? IT’S NOT OKAY!!!!!!!!!!! Ciara was Amanda’s #1 cheerleader, her biggest supporter and even went as far as taking fertility tests with Amanda because Amanda was scared to do it alone, and this is how you thank her? I think the f*ck not.

Rihanna - who is reportedly in Ciara’s dm’s trying to play matchmaker with A list celebrities… Do I see Ciara and Michael B. Jordan together in the future? I think sooo!!

The reunion is being filmed on April 15th and boy oh boy is the world not ready for this. Might be the most watched episode of TV to ever exist.
Blake vs Justin
Oh my goddd when will it end. The Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni saga seems like it’s never going to end but things are not looking good for Blake. This week, the judge has thrown out 10 of Blake’s sexual harassment claims against Justin (out of 13). The three that he is allowing to proceed are: claims of breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting in retaliation.
The trial is due to take place in May so I’m one again hoping to be called for Jury Duty asap.
Jen Shah is baaackk
Jen Shah, the Real Housewife of Salt Lake City who was arrested for stealing money for elderly people, is out of jail and sat down for her first interview with none other than People Magazine. She did confess that she was wrong and is deeply remorseful but I think she’s just trying to get back on RHOSLC.
She’d tried to excuse what she did by throwing in that during the scam she and Coach Shah were on the verge of divorce, she was overwhelmed with immense grief from the death of her grandma, father and aunt and was spiraling into a clinical depression. Lots going on in her life, might as well scam the elders!
While in prison, Jen made friends with Elizabeth (or who she calls Lizzy) Holmes, and had “limited interactions” with Ghislaine Maxwell. But, she did manage to find out that Ghislaine had “no remorse” for any of the victims, and that Ghislaine was treated very well in prison… being afforded things like private workout sessions, special meals, bottled water. Thanks Jen for always giving us the inside scoop.
Also Jen confirmed that she sent Mary Cosby a letter after her son passed to express her condolences… Wonder if Mary opened it and/or threw it out.
Alex Cooper is still Unwell
Before I was mad about Scamanda (omg taylor stfu about Scamanda) I was mad at Alex Cooper, and I still am. This week she announced the cast of her upcoming show Unwell Winter Games, which includes a long list of polarizing reality tv stars, most of all I have an issue with. Anna Delvey (convicted felon), SLOMW’s Demi Engemann, Hallie Batchelder, and Huda are at the top of my list of people who I don’t think we should be giving a platform to but the person to take the #1 spot… Dakota f*cking Mortensen. Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex. Yeah, the girl whose season of the Bachelorette was just taken off of air because of domestic violence, the other side of the story comes from Dakota - who, let me just say, has been and always will be the problem. Sooooooo why on earth are we letting this man compete on a reality competition but TFP’s whole show got taken away? Seems absolutely absurd to me. Not that I was going to watch to begin with, but now I absolutely will not be watching unless Alex Cooper edits out every scene with Dakota in it.
